Life around us...

Assalamualaikum n a very good morning to all.

The prophet Muhammad S.A.W had said," who soever are not concern about the Muslimeen matters, are not from us (i.e Muslimeen)".

What have I done for the last week? I don't even read any articles, concerning ummah matters. Not to mention global issues, what about Tronoh?

 

I took a few minutes of deep breath and try to recap of what had happened around us either locally (in Tronoh, i would say) or in global. Come on, I was so busy, wondering around, looking for my Final Year Projects materials ( 2 days), plus last minute of F1 design assignation by auto lecturer( 3 days), also preparing for the projects presentation to examiners (a week). All these were done within the week, what a hectic life it was. 

In Perak, emm... aha, the monument. Some group built one, at the so called 'tree of democracy' and destroyed by other group. That's politik kita. Come to think about it, what's the purpose of built the monument and how they prioritize it? Were they don't have anything else to do? and What's with the other side's action of breaking that thing? Again, were they don't have anything else related to rakyat, to be done? I don't have the answers, as I never get deep into  the issue.

I extend my condolence to dear family of Mohamad Azamir Mokhtar, 20 of UTP CV engr who was found dead by fishermen the day tommorow (SUN) after being reported lost during a beach activity (SAT), at Kuala Keluang, Besut. He was on a field trip with lecturers and a group of CV students. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi roji'uun (QS 2:156).

A bit of Palestine, emm, so many things happened. Those barbaric Israels are still attacking Ghazza. On a Nablus operation by the Israeli, 41 were caught and arrested including Hamas Deputy of Prime Minister, Dr. Nasser As-shaer, Syed Adnan Asfour of Hamas Head of Politics and Prof. Issam Al-ashqar. And even, the zionist regime put a psychopathic into the Hammas prisoners cell. These shows that they (Zionist) are no more than a paranoid!

The ummah has to be awaken. We want to be and claimed that we are the best but what the hell is going on with us? We are still enjoying and relaxing and etc, and fill in our leisure time not with things which are beneficial for us as indiviudal or society (nafi' lighairihi).

We are trapped in a cycle of life created by our enemy. Believe it or not, most people will have this kind of routine: wake up in the morning before dawn, go out for work, finish after sun sets, dinner, watch TV, and sleep and that's called a day. The same goes for the day after and another. 

"We are the best Of Peoples, evolved For mankind, Enjoining what is right, Forbidding what is wrong, And believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book Had faith, it were best For them: among them Are some who have faith, But most of them Are perverted transgressors," ( Al-Imran: 110)

Think of your life, no more fragile life and lies, make something out of you for the sake of ummah and deen as we can find in Al-Quran, chapter Al-Asr (1-3):

1. By (the Token of) Time (through the ages,

2. Verily Man is in loss,

3. Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds,

    --> affiliate to Islam, be solihin

   

   .., and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth,  

    -->  particpate in guiding others
   

  .., and of Patience and Constancy.

    -->  contribute (jihad) in the sense of academics, leaderships, professional and financial

 

A well rounded Muslims should have all these three. Without one, we are verily in loss. 

What are we waiting for, be knowledgable and be practicable now!

Sempit...Hidup atau engkau?

Kadang-kadang kita tak tahu dan tak pernah mengerti 

kerana hidup ini terasa begitu sulit untuk dijalani

kadang terasa menghimpit sedikit demi sedikit

bertambah menjadi sulit

padahal semua kebutuhan hidup terasa tidak pernah kurang

semakin bertambah

hidup sepertinya senang atau berlimpah

rezeki didapat dengan mudah..yeah

tetapi mengapa hidup ini terasa sulit dijalani ( dijalani 2x)

oh ternyata bukan hidup yang semakin sulit

tetapi hati yang terlalu sempit

selalu berpenyakit

lalalalalala...

Obat hati ada lima perkara (nya)

yang pertama baca quran dan maknanya

yang kedua solat malam dirikanlah

yang ketiga berkumpulah dengan orang soleh

yang keempat perbanyakkan lah berpuasa 

yang kelima zikir malam berpanjangan

salah satunya

siapa bisa menjalani

moga-moga pasti Allah mencukupi

TRONOH AERONAUTICS, TA ( Tinggi di Angkasa...)

TRONOH, JUMAAT - Sebuah kompeni baru yakni TRONOH AERONAUTICS (TA) telah ditubuhkan oleh empat orang anak muda berwawasan yang meniti semester akhir di salah sebuah universiti swasta di sini. Tujuan penubuhan kompeni tersebut adalah untuk menghasilkan sebuah pesawat ringan tanpa kawalan (glider) bagi suatu pertandingan inovasi kreatif di universiti tersebut. Matlamat akhir mereka bagaimanapun bukanlah mendapatkan hadiah utama bernilai RM500 beserta hamper, tetapi sebagai menguji kemahiran dan kompetensi masing-masing dalam bidang kejuruteraan mekanikal terutamanya dalam aerodinamik. Berbekalkan modal permulaan RM 10, anak-anak muda ini tekad lagi bersahaja menjalankan penyelidikan untuk merekabentuk glider yang memenuhi kehendak pertandingan seperti tempoh paling lama di udara, desain yang paling kreatif, penyampaian terbaik, bahan yang digunakan dan pergerakan pesawat di udara yang terunik. Mereka bakal berdepan dengan lebih 20 pasukan bagi merebut kejuaraan itu. Pertandingan tersebut (Creative Innovation Competition, CIC) adalah yang pertama seumpamanya di universiti tersebut.

Salam, itulah serba sedikit mengenai aktiviti sampingan kami selain projek akhir tahun serta lain-lain projek kursus. Hujung pengajian barulah ada bende2 camni. Takpe la, as senior rilek2 aje tapi biar gempak hasil nya. Baru kene dengan ilmu yang kononnya lebih sikit. Apa pun:- 

fas aluu ahlazdikr in kuntum laa ta'lamuun (QS 16:43) 

bermaksud 

"...maka tanyalah kepada ahli yang mempunyai pengetahuan, jika kamu tidak mengetahui." 

Demikianlah firman ALLAH SWT dalam Quran yang sangat besar maknanya. Sangat dalam isinya, namun ringkas, tepat dan padat. Inilah arahan Tuhan kepada kita, dalam menuntut ilmu tanyalah kepada pakar2 tak kira status beliau as a muslim or not. Ali ibnu Abi Tolib r.a berkata:-

" Ilmu itu adalah mutiara yang hilang dari mukmin, jika kamu jumpai dimanapun (sesipapun) ambillah ia.."

Namun umat Islam hari ini sangat fobia dan seolah2 taboo bagi mereka mendalami ilmu2 sains, psikologi dan pengurusan yang dikembangkan dari tamadun barat. Bagi sesetengah kalangan, ilmu dari barat tersebut diangap SEKULAR dan tidak ISLAMIK. Hinggakan belajar sains dan kejuruteraan di unversiti (juga kolej2) tidak dikira sebagai 'belajar islam'. Saya tidak mahu mengulas panjang, tapi lupakah (atau tahukah) kalian bahawa ALLAH berfirman dalam Surah Ar-rum : 30:-

"Maka hadapkanlah wajahmu dengan lurus kepada agama Allah; (tetaplah atas) fitrah Allah yang telah menciptakan manusia menurut fitrah itu. Tidak ada peubahan pada fitrah Allah. (Itulah) agama yang lurus; tetapi kebanyakan manusia tidak mengetahui."

Senang citer, segala fitrah alam@hukum alam itu sudah sedia ISLAM (menurut aturan@sunnatullah, ex: F=ma, 99-18= 81, edaran orbit, Universe expansion rate etc).

Maka kita yang diberi pilihan mengapa masih melupakan Yang Maha Pencipta? Adakah kita mengikuti program2 dan modul2 yang diberikanNYA? Semak QS 91:8-10, lu pikir la sendirik..!

Tawaran Masters by research CEDEQ USM

Ingin berkongsi pelawaan seorang Research Officer, RO di USM bagi melanjutkan studi di peringkat Masters dalam bidang MEMS. Menurut beliau, pihaknya memerlukan seramai calon yang mungkin (>10 orang kot).

#1:  Research bidang aper tu?

Bismillah, tawaran ini  adalah untuk anda melakukan Masters dalam bidang Micro Electro-Mechanical System. Berikut quote dari http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MEMS:-

Senang criter, mende alah ni mechanical system@gadget@device di skala makhlus halus (semut, kutu dll). Application die lebih pada sensors, dan di Malaysia sudah digunakan untuk monitor pertumbuhan pokok (contoh penyelidikan oleh MIMOS) dan sebagainya.

Satu bidang yang menarik bagi mechy2 yang gemarkan mechatronics dan boleh diapplikasi dalam apa2 yang boleh difikirkan.

#2: Apa itu CEDEQ?

Basically , company ni tawarkan geran research kat USM untuk selidik pasal MEMS ni punyer application yang tertentu. Tak tau la amende sebenarnye.

#3: Kenapa USM?

OK, tau APEX tak? USM ade banyak apek? Bukan2, APEX atau nama penuh beliau adalah Accelerated Programme for Excellence adalah status yang diberikan kepada USM sebagai unversiti yang HEBAT dalam menjalankan penyelidikan bertaraf dunia. 

Jika sudah bertaraf tinggi, apa lagi yang diperlukan melainkan semua keperluan kelengkapan dan mesin sudah tidak menjadi masalah. Kurang lebih begitu la.

#4: What else yang menarik?

Meanariknya pasal program ni ialah anda akan mendapat elaun bersih RM1300 tanpa perlu menjadi Graduate Assistant, GA atau Research Assistant, RA. Anda hanya perlu fokus pada research masters anda itu sahaja. Yuran pun x mahal sangat ( x sure lagi, tapi UTP pun baru  RM3000++ per sem). Kalau nak tambah pendapatan, boleh aje try apply jadi GA, mengajar tutorial.

Seperkara lagi, setahu saya para researcher di uni APEX ini berpeluang mendapat loan atau elaun maksimum berjumlah RM5000 setahun bagi keperluan laptop, buku-buku, alat kelengkapan dan bantuan penyelidikan.

Satu lagi, Kampus Kejuruteraan USM di Trans Kerian ini jauh dari hiruk pikuk kota2 besar, tak jauh beza seperti Bandar Universiti dan Taman Maju di Tronoh. Aman dan tenteram. Pekan yang x beberapa koboi.

#5: Am I eligible?

If you're fulfilling the criteria below, why not? :-

1. 3.0 of CGPA or above in any of these bachelorate engineering programme (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical & Electronics, or any relevant programme).

2. Betul2 mahu buat masters ASAP lepas tamat final semester.

3. Mempunyai komitmen dan keazaman yang jitu bagi menjayakan penyelidikan, tanpa putus asa.

4. Bersedia mencari tempat tinggal sendiri.

Seperkara lagi, permohonan akan dishorlisted untuk interview dan lain-lain urusan bergantung kepada pihak universiti. Tapi, insyaALLAH xde masalah asal niat betul dihati (awek x ramai kot kat fakulti engineering tuh).
